Your Role on Our Team

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative products that meet user needs and business goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Designers, and Digital Product Managers, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product releases. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, analytical, curious, an effective communicator, and possesses a basic understanding of agile product delivery principles and practices.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers to develop and communicate a clear product vision, roadmap and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and market needs.

  • Work closely with Digital Product Managers to define and prioritize digital product features and enhancements. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a product roadmap that outlines the timeline for delivering key product milestones.

  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog for digital products with epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Continuously refine and groom the backlog to ensure a clear understanding of the product requirements.

  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers to translate product insights into actionable improvements for digital products.

  • Effectively communicate product updates, requirements, status to necessary audience.

  • Work with designers and developers to understand user experience across digital products to help incorporate user-centered design best practices

  • Drive agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews. Collaborate with the development team to ensure clear understanding and acceptance of user stories for digital products. Be the team captain!

  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers to identify where documentation is needed & facilitate the execution of user guides, release notes, and other relevant materials to support digital products.

  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers to plan and execute successful product launches for digital products. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate training and support materials are available.

  • Opportunity for mentorship, guiding teams & fostering a collaborative environment, sharing experiences and best practices with other Product Owners.

  • Promote a culture where teams are inspired to collaborate; ensuring everyone understands their part in the process.

  • Acts as a communication bridge between technology functions and the product managers to understand key issues, identify perception gaps, and resolve questions.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • 2-year degree in IT, Engineering, or Business Management minimum; OR equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner working on an agile software product team.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO)

  • Passion for technology and a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs in the digital product space.

  • Familiarity with product management tools, such as ADO, Jira, Trello, or Asana.

  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and best practices for digital products.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of program governance using both waterfall and agile methodologies combined with ability to manage complex projects.

  • Ability to quickly learn business processes and provide insight and guidance.

  • Ability to gather requirements from business partners.

  • Ability to breakdown strategic objectives into actionable work for development teams

  • Background in collaborating with custom development teams.

  • Ability to convey concepts and ideas concisely in verbal and written form.

  • Evidence of strategic thinking and some experience in executing in a fast-paced or cross functional environment.

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to influence and organize.

  • Identify opportunities for process or technology improvements.
