Your Role On Our Team
The Inventory Control Leader is responsible for leading and optimizing inventory management and control. This includes developing a vision and implementing plans, processes, and initiatives to improve inventory management and control. They are recognized as a subject matter expert within their function and the incumbent will influence and communicate with all levels of the organization.
They lead and coordinate day-to-day activities and develop, train, and implement strategies that manage and improve their area of influence. Their team consists of Cycle Counters, Shipping & Receiving, Material Handlers, and Team Leads.
You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Recruit, select, orient, train, and coach the following team members and associated activity:
Material Handlers who locate, replenish, count, label, and perform inventory transactions
Shipping & Receiving who verifies and processes incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments
Cycle Counters who verify, adjust, and root cause perpetual inventory variances
Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects, studies and standardize processes and procedures to improve efficiency and resolve gaps in the process
Manages forklift, and box truck equipment requirements, daily checklists, and routine maintenance needs
Develops a strategy for cross-training and rotation to create a flexible workforce utilizing a training matrix to identify gaps
Create and verify implementation of all policies and procedures around accurate inventory sustainment and train employees on processes required to maintain
Other duties as assigned
The TOOLS you'll bring with you:
High School Diploma Required. Bachelor or technical degree preferred. Supervisory and leadership training preferred
Experience leading warehouse, material planning, and/or inventory control teams preferably in a manufacturing setting required
Ability to operate a forklift and box truck required
Must be self-directed and motivated; able to operate independently with limited supervision and exercise proper judgment; able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Proficient in using Microsoft Office
Experience with Lean manufacturing and establishing best practices preferred
